A happy group of volunteers got to work in the Winter Garden to prepare it for the cold months ahead. The dry garden and the rose beds were also weeded, lightly pruned and generally spruced up. We were delighted to welcome two newcomers to Ely to swell the workforce.
Delicious hot soup, crunchy bread and lashings of butter were much enjoyed at the Maltings, compliments of Andy, Head Chef, and restored the energy levels for a short second session.
The next Working Party day is scheduled for 9.30 anm on Thursday November 10th when we look forward to helping with the planting of a large number of Hydrangea Paniculata Grandiflora.
